Travel changes the make-up of the soul. Whether it's traveling 30 miles down the road to a new shop or hopping on a plane to some fabulous destination, changing scenery changes a person.
My daughter and husband have been on their annual cross country motorcycle trip for one week now. Last night they crossed the Canadian border and reached Toronto right on schedule. They have seen magnificent landscapes, ate in small greasy spoon restaurants and fallen in love with Michigan's Great Lakes. My daughter swears she will set up her home close to bluffs that tumble into the unexpected crystal clear waters outside Traverse City. She falls in love with a new state every trip! I'm pretty sure Michigan will be trumped by the splendor of coastal Maine!
Today's schedule includes the Hockey Hall of Fame counter-balanced with some dress boutiques I'm sure! Then it's on to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and possibly a push through the remainder of Canada into Maine. And there definitely will be more greasy spoon cafes!
