My coffee pot is the hub of morning activity in my house. I'm always up early- thanks to two impatient dogs- and a chattering group of unfinished dolls I call the coffee clatch!
Perhaps it is because I haven't yet given them eyes that they can't see the sun is barely up and I am a dishveled morning mess. Nonetheless these dolls are giddy with excitement wondering what new embellishments will come their way today.
I love to make prim dolls but rarely put them in my Etsy or sell them. They are labor intensive and I never use a pattern so each doll is truly one of a kind. These lovelies already have special destinations but the smallest doll has asked that I use her as a template for an official Hand of Bela Peck model. (She has fashion designer aspirations- not in keeping with her primitive ways. Such a rebel!) She even left out her fabric choices for her dress. I think she is destined for bold embroidered linen :)
This morning we will watch the rain fall together, sip coffee, and discuss the primitive ways of coffee staining these fabrics. Not a single drop of coffee goes to waste in this house!
LOVE & LATTES!!
I bet they wait all night for ya! of course, it's always dark until those eyes go on ;) never spill the coffee, it's substance abuse!
