There is no shortage of strange looks from my daughter's friends when they see the kitchen counter littered with heads, arms, and a variety of other body parts. They are equally wary when they see the tools of my trade.
I admit I have been known to threaten my daughter's boyfriends a time or two- demonstrating just how sharp and exact the points of the compass are..... (Might've mentioned a boyfriend burial ground... just sayin'....) but mainly these tools are for those ridiculously tight corners that usually have me muttering a string of curse words and promising to never make such small details again.
These scissors are precise to their tip! Perfect for making the corners snip right to the seamline.
I love using antique and vintage tools. They have a craftsmanship and beauty that modern tools can't replicate.
My new forceps are fabulous for turning little limbs and hat brims. Robin of the whimsical empire Baggaraggs suggested forceps for turning wee parts. When I found an antique pair on a recent explore in Anderson, Texas I knew they were meant for me.
I made the brim of these witch hats extra skinny (insert a longer string of curse words here) but the forceps made for quick work. Customers who groan about handmade prices should be handed tiny doll limbs that need turning and asked how much their time was worth once one arm is right side out.
The turning tools also aid in the stuffing process. The small tips and blunt handle edges are just the right size for filling corners and small spaces.
Time to rest the turning tools and turn the show over to the painting department.

hey! Those are way cool. I love antique anything, and I confess that I have a scissor fetish. (Scary but True)I love those witch heads. Nice job on the corners, I would have balled those up and thrown them in a "corner..."
Thank you for the shout out and the link. You Rock surfer girl. Hugs, Robin
